Overview
Ferric EDTA is a chelated iron complex in which iron (Fe) is bound to ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The chelate stabilises iron in solution and helps keep it available for plant uptake under suitable conditions. Ferric EDTA is supplied as a technical-grade material for use in fertilizers, foliar products and other crop nutrition formulations where a defined iron content and good solubility are required.
In crop nutrition, ferric EDTA is used as a source of iron in micronutrient blends, water-soluble fertilizers, foliar sprays and fertigation solutions. It is commonly used in horticulture, fruit and vegetable production, turf and ornamental crops. The effectiveness of any iron chelate depends on factors such as pH, soil type, water quality and crop species, and must be evaluated by the customer’s own agronomic and technical teams in line with local regulations.
CropMineral supplies Ferric EDTA in a controlled technical grade with specified assay, pH, solubility and impurity limits. Up-to-date technical data sheets, safety data sheets and certificates of analysis are provided to support quality control and safe handling. As with all chelated micronutrients, users should review compatibility with other formulation components and follow relevant safety, environmental and regulatory requirements before use.
