Overview
Magnesium Sulfate (commonly supplied as hydrated forms such as heptahydrate, MgSO4·7H2O) is a water-soluble magnesium and sulfur source used in crop nutrition programs. It dissolves readily in water and is suitable for incorporation into solid, water-soluble and liquid fertilizers where a defined magnesium and sulfur contribution is required. Material supplied by CropMineral is intended for industrial use in agricultural formulations.
In crop nutrition, magnesium sulfate is used in straight and compound fertilizers, foliar sprays and fertigation products for a broad range of crops, including field crops, fruit, vegetables and horticultural species. Magnesium and sulfur are both essential plant nutrients, but the actual rate, timing and method of application depend on soil status, crop requirements, climate and local agronomic practice. These aspects must be evaluated by the customer's own agronomic and technical teams in line with local regulations.
CropMineral supplies Magnesium Sulfate in controlled technical grades with specified assay, water content, solubility and impurity limits. Product documentation, including technical data sheets, safety data sheets and certificates of analysis, supports quality control and safe handling. As with any fertilizer raw material, users should confirm compatibility with other formulation components and comply with relevant safety, environmental and regulatory requirements before use.
