Zinc Sulfate

Overview

Zinc Chloride (ZnCl2) is a highly soluble, strongly hygroscopic zinc salt supplied in technical grades for industrial use. In agricultural value chains it can serve as a zinc source and as an intermediate for the production of other zinc-containing formulations, where its solubility and reactivity are required. Material supplied by CropMineral is intended for processing by industrial users rather than direct handling by end users.

In selected fertilizer and crop nutrition applications, zinc chloride may be evaluated as a zinc component in liquid or specialty products when compatible with the overall formulation concept and when the presence of chloride is acceptable within agronomic and regulatory constraints. Any such use must be assessed carefully, as chloride and zinc both have specific limits and guidelines in many agricultural systems. Non-agricultural uses of zinc chloride, such as in industrial or chemical processes, fall outside the scope of this overview.

Zinc chloride is corrosive and requires careful handling, storage and equipment selection. CropMineral supplies defined technical grades with specified zinc content, solution strength or solid composition, and impurity limits, supported by technical data sheets, safety data sheets and certificates of analysis. Customers are responsible for verifying that any use of zinc chloride in fertilizers or related products is technically appropriate, safe and compliant with local environmental and regulatory requirements.
